この記事は、ブルーレイからリージョンコードを削除して、お好きなムービーを自由に再生する方法をご紹介します。
リージョンコード(region codes) は、ディスク、ドライブやプレーヤー などの利用可能な地域を指定するコード番号です。
基本的に、リージョンコードにより、指定されたリージョンでのみディスクを再生できます。そのため、特定のリージョンコードで販売されているプレーヤーは、別の地域用にエンコードされたディスクを再生できません。
リージョンコードは基本的にDRM（デジタル著作権管理）技術で、スタジオがさまざまな地域での映画のリリースを制御できるようにします。たとえば、DVDまたはBlu-rayムービーは通常米国で最初にリリースされ、数か月後にDVDが英国または他の地域で上映されます。

AZスクリーンレコーダーはGoogle Playで無料ダウンロードできます。有料版も用意されていますので、最初から購入したい人はそちらを選ぶこともできます。無料版をとりあえず使いたいということであれば、無料版という表示があることや、課金がなされないことを確認した上でダウンロードしましょう。ダウンロード、インストールができたら、画面上のアプリを開きます。初めて起動する時に権限付与の許可をする必要があります。編集ボタンなどを表示させるためにはポップアップウィンドウ権限を許可しないといけません。表示させる画面で許可を出せば良いこともありますが、スマホの設定画面に行ってアプリへの権限許可をすることもあります。
権限付与の許可をすればアプリを使えるようになります。実際に動画を録画する前に、いくつかの初期設定を済ませてしまいましょう。アプリのトップ画面から設定を開きます。まず、解像度ですがプリセットとして5つの解像度とカスタムから選べます。録画される動画のサイズに関係するもので、どこに動画を配信するかによっても必要な解像度が異なります。そのため、主に使う動画サイズに指定しておけば、その後の操作が楽になります。全体としては、解像度が高ければそれだけ緻密できれいな映像となりますが、ファイル容量が大きくなるので、スマホのストレージを食うなどの注意点もあります。
次に、フレームレートという設定があります。これは、１秒間にどれだけのコマ送りをするかという設定です。やはり動画配信サイトによってフレームレートの指定が違うので、ここも事前にどの数値が良いのかをチェックしておきましょう。多くのサービスでは、30fpsが標準となっていて、AZスクリーンレコーダーでもデフォルトではこの数値に設定されているはずです。もし、そのままで良ければここはスルーしても良いです。このフレームレートも、数値が高くなるほど動きが滑らかできれいな映像ができます。その分、動作が遅くなってしまうことがあり、スマホのスペックが低いと、逆にカクカクとした動きになったり、録画がうまくいかなかったりすることもあります。その場合は、フレームレートを下げるようにしましょう。フレームレートが低いと滑らかさは多少悪くなりますが、配信自体は可能なので問題はありません。
また、ビットレートも初期設定で決めておく数値です。これは、1秒間にどれだけのデータ量で表示させるかという設定です。通常は、1Mbpsから12Mbpsくらいの範囲で設定します。数値を上げるほど、細かで色も表示も鮮やかになります。逆に数値を下げると、荒くてノイズが出てくることになります。AZスクリーンレコーダーでは、デフォルトで自動設定となっています。これは、解像度やフレームレートの設定に合わせて、一番バランスの取れた数値に調整しています。基本的にはオートで構いませんので、そのままで良いでしょう。実際に録画をして動画をチェックした時に、画質が悪いとかスマホのスペックが追い付かず動作が変ということであれば、この設定で調整することができます。
そして、「動画速度の変更」という設定もあります。これは、録画する時に再生速度を変えられるという機能です。たとえば、尺が長い動画になる場合、この速度を上げると早送りのような映像になって、全体の時間を短くすることができます。これは個々の動画の編集でも行うことができますが、この設定をしておくとすべての録画に適用されます。そのため、基本としては等倍速、もしくはDisableという設定にしておくと良いです。何も調整をしなければ、通常の速度で録画されます。デフォルトでも等倍速になっているので、変更しなくても良いのであればそのままにしておきましょう。
AZスクリーンレコーダーでは、スマホの内部音声の録音ができます。画面を録画する際に、その時出力される音声も一緒に録音できるという機能で、同時にスマホのマイクからの音声も拾います。つまり、AZスクリーンレコーダーは内部音声の録音をする時には、外部音声を同時に録音する仕様となっているわけです。端末によってどんな形で音声録音されるかは異なりますので、実際にどんな形で仕上がるかを確認してから設定してみましょう。どちらにしても、内部音声を録音したい場合は、この設定で「音声の録音をする」をオンにしないといけません。
設定が完了したら、実際に動画を録音することができます。まず、アプリを起動すると、トップ画面に赤い録画ボタンがありますので、それをタップします。これで録画がスタートして、ポップアップでコントローラーが表示され続けます。そのまま、画面から他のアプリを開いて操作したり、ゲームを始めたりすることができます。その一連の流れはすべて録画されていますので、停止するまで続きます。一時停止したり録画を終了したりしたい場合は、ポップアップメニューからそれぞれのボタンをタップします。もしくは、画面の上に出ているメニューバーを下スワイプして、コントローラーを表示させます。ここからも一時停止や終了を選べるので、ポップアップが何かの利用で非表示になった時は、ここを使いましょう。
録画終了するとサムネネイルが出てきますので、編集や、そのまま共有、削除、ダウンロードして保存などを選びます。編集アイコンを選べば、そのままの流れでカットなどの機能を使って調整することができます。
