The original story is based on real life events. The aliens came to Earth to save their planet, and they created the Witch Mountain community. They gave each child a star case, and reunited the kids with their Uncle Bene. When the boys reach their destination, they board a second spacecraft and fly over Jason and the Witch Mountain community. Eventually, the children return home to their new friends and find their missing parents.
